Vito and Cassandra offer plenty of desirable perks like a time-saving money collection service and improved ammo capacity for all weapons. Unfortunately, the sitdowns work better in concept than in practice, in part because the perks aren't particularly well balanced. It's a clever way to embrace the "mafia" concept and a welcome strategic contrast to the rest of the gun-driven gameplay. You can only carry two weapons at a time, which is an odd restriction for an open world game that confronts you with many different scenarios. But ignore one of your partners too many times and they might just turn on you. Basically, every time you capture a new district, you must assign that district a leader, who will grant you new weapons and abilities in exchange. Lincoln's quest for revenge coincides with his rise to power, power he shares during a series of playable "sitdowns"-scenes in which Lincoln gathers his capos around a table to talk business. Mafia II protagonist Vito Scaletta, for example, returns as one of three underbosses who allies with Lincoln against Marcano. You'll even find a few nods to longtime Mafia fans. Even side characters receive enough attention to feel three-dimensional, and tiny details like store signage and radio hosts expertly capture the tumultuous time and place that serves as the backdrop. It's a brilliant way to tell a complete, well-rounded story. The story mixes cutscenes set in 1968 with documentary footage shot in the present day and video of a Congressional hearing that occurs somewhere in between. The ensuing plot follows all the expected beats of a revenge tale, but it culminates in a positively Shakespearean ending made all the more impactful by our deep understanding of each and every character. The story follows Lincoln Clay, a man who is many things: an orphan adopted by the leader of New Bordeaux's black mob, a war hero who returns home from Vietnam in 1968, and the victim of a vicious betrayal at the hands of the city's crime boss, Sal Marcano. ![]() ![]() ![]() Not just because they look great but above all because they really are inventive and fun to watch. ![]() ![]() Not in this movie folks ! In Dragon Nest the action scenes are the glue that binds everything together. If this would be a failed and boring movie, Dragon Nest would have just presented the mission plot, presented the characters and then it would have spent the entire movie flashing empty action scenes. Also their different personalities are very well woven into the story structure and each character development marks a plot point, a twist or a revelation. Simply because they are so well defined and have great charisma, which is something that I wasn't expecting at all. The plot may be not that original, the characters are all mmorpgs clichés of course, but they are amazing in this story. What caught my eye was that this was a non stop action movie from start to finish but somehow managed to create and develop great characters among all the chaos and most impressively used the action to tell the story and not just to look cool and impress the teen audiences. Now, In a day and age where most fantasy animations all have the same standart storyline seen dozens of times before, frankly I wasn't expecting much from Dragon Nest the movie, but then it started and I knew immediately this one had something special in it. I've played the mmorpg a few times, but I hardly remember anything about it, except that I loved the visual atmosphere in it and that was what peaked my curiosity about this movie. Swords, magic, princesses, warriors, fighting, and DRAGONS!!!! In conclusion, this movie has pretty much everything you want in a children's action movie. The stereotype of bad guys wear black clothing were very prominent in this movie. Secondly, it was painfully obvious who the bad guys were. However, because of the fast pace, they were able to squeeze in a lot of enjoyable action scenes. Whatever character development did happen was only focused entirely around the main character. First of all, the whole story developed at a very fast pace, so fast that there was no room left for character development at all. It might be nitpicking since it's just a children's movie, but I feel like they could've done much better on some things. There are a couple of things that I didn't like. ![]() They did a great job of creating the atmosphere and setting the mood for most scenes. If I had to choose something memorable, I would have to say the music really stood out the most. The atmosphere, character, and the cartoon style sort of resembles How To Train Your Dragon in many ways. What I mean by that is when a character is cut, they do not show any blood or the wound and they do not die in any gruesome type of way. To start off, I should warn you that there are deaths in this movie, but the fighting and deaths scenes are very contained. Everything was explained well enough throughout the movie that you will follow along just fine. Don't worry if you've never played Dragon Nest before, you do not need to know the story of the game in order to follow along in this movie. What interested me about this movie was that I've played Dragon Nest in the past and I was interested to see what the movie would be like. As a 23 year old, watching this movie was much more enjoyable than I thought it would be. ![]() ![]() ![]() She’s a selfish main DPS Pyro carry that can consistently deal high amounts of damage in relatively short windows of opportunity. Has a higher floor, but lower DMG ceiling than Hu Tao. Have fun traveling across the desert for his mats. He has long cooldowns and requires active management of skills and tech to maintain his uptime. Alhaitham’s mechanics are more similar to Childe than they are to Keqing, despite him being memed as a dendro Keqing. This means better stat budget allocation. Hu Tao converts her HP to ATK to do DMG while Alhaitham’s EM is his DMG. Has EM baked right into his multipliers, meaning he doesn’t split scale but dual scales. He is also more flexible in terms of party members and playstyles. Will perform well at lower investment than Hu Tao (and that’s saying something because Hu Tao is already pretty low investment friendly). You’ll only really find being at low HP annoying in co-op.Ĭ1 is such a good constellation for her that buffs her dmg a lot. I don’t think anyone of these units are more easier than other. Alheitam also demads a combo learning to optimize his spread reaction damage and maximizing his field time. But a spread team with Alheitam may not get that damage output, I may be biased due to being long time HuTao player.īut HuTao is dependent on having a shielder at C0, and you need to learn CA cancel. But reaching that potential is tough in terms of resin investment for artifacts compared to quickbloom or hyperbloom teams where Alheitam can perform pretty good with suboptimal builds. Fun is subjective, but I don’t think any unit has the raw damage potential to go toe to toe with a vv vape HuTao (I myself can’t set this up properly in abyss, but I suck at gaming to begin with). ![]() |
